Serena Deeb Had Left Knee Scoped, Says, She'll Be "Back Before You Know It"

The NWA Women's champion is currently mending

NWA Women's champion, and current AEW star, Serena Deeb recently underwent a scope of her left knee, but doesn't feel she'll be on the shelf for too long.

Tweeting about the procedure, Deeb wrote, "Update on my knee...I had a scope done and it went really well. I’ll be back before you know it. Thank you all for the support and concern."

It's not clear when exactly Deeb sustained the injury, but she was favoring the knee during her AEW Women's Eliminator tournament match against Riho on February 17 (Deeb was also wearing a bulkier pad going into that match).

It was Deeb's first match since defeating Tay Conti in a match for the NWA Women's title at New Year's Smash on January 7.

At one juncture during the bout with Riho, AEW doctor Michael Sampson came to ringside to check on her. Deeb was ultimately able to finish the match, losing via pinfall.

Deeb has reigned as NWA Women's champion since defeating Thunder Rosa in October. With the NWA resuming filming and production later in March, it's unknown if Deeb will be ready to perform by then.
