Seth Rollins Compares Vince McMahon's WWE Return To Succession

Seth Rollins on Vince McMahon's return

WWE have had a tumultuous start to 2023 in the boardroom following Vince McMahon's return to the organisation.

McMahon was previously out of the company following his retirement but he leveraged his position as majority shareholder to force his way back onto the Board of Directors before his election as Executive Chairman a few days later. McMahon returned to pursue a sale of WWE and the company are in talks with interested parties.

Speaking with Pro Wrestling Illustrated, Seth Rollins compared the changes within WWE to the popular HBO series Succession.

"Well, have you ever seen the show Succession? If you need an explanation, there you go. You have three seasons of it I think on HBO so, that's again, all above my head. I'm a pro wrestler, I show up, I put in the work in the ring, try to do my best to entertain the people who buy the tickets and watch us on TV and that's all I can focus on. If I start worrying about the other stuff, I'm gonna lose my cool so, I gotta keep my cool my friend," Rollins said.

Succession centres on family patriarch Logan Roy and his three children as they battle to control Waystar Royco, a massive media conglomerate that holds the power to influence much of the western world.
