Sonya Deville Arrested

Sonya Deville was arrested in February, reports from TMZ and Fightful have revealed. 

Deville was arrested on one count of unlawful weapon possession - handgun without permit on February 19 in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The arrest occurred after a valet at the Borgata Hotel, Casino and Spa discovered the weapon in Deville's car's glove box and called the authorities. Deville was at the venue to celebrate with her fiance. 

When police arrived, Deville was cooperating with security and she was arrested without incident. She admitted to owning the handgun and showed them the permit for the weapon which is valid in Florida but not in New Jersey. Deville is scheduled to be in court for a hearing later this month. 

According to Fightful, Deville is in the process of getting the case thrown out. There is no heat on the WWE talent from the company as they understand why she would want to protect herself after an alleged stalker tried to invade her home in August 2020.
