SPOILERS: IMPACT World Title Challenger At Against All Odds Revealed

Who will challenge Josh Alexander for the IMPACT World Title at Against All Odds?

The next challenger for Josh Alexander's IMPACT World Championship has been revealed.

IMPACT Wrestling taped the next two weeks of shows following Slammiversary on Monday and it was announced during the taping that Joe Doering will challenge The Walking Weapon for the world title at the Against All Odds IMPACT Plus special on Friday. July 1 in Atlanta, Georgia.

PWInsider reported the match will be booked on the June 23 episode of IMPACT. It came about after Joe Doering and Deaner attacked Bhupinder Gujjar, Shark Boy, Johnny Swinger, and Zicky Dice following their match and Deaner called out Josh Alexander. A back and forth between the Violent By Design members and Alexander followed until it was revealed that the IMPACT World Champion will defend the gold against Doering on July 1. A pull-apart brawl then broke out and Violent By Design and Alexander had to be separated by security before Alexander defeated Deaner in a singles match.

The title match against Doering comes after The Walking Weapon defeated VBD Leader Eric Young in the main event of Slammiversary. During that match, Alexander put Doering through a table with an Olympic Slam from the apron.

Doering returned to IMPACT in November 2020 and he has yet to be pinned in the promotion. He is also a two-time IMPACT World Tag Team Champion.
