WWE have put on an annual Tribute to the Troops event ever since December 2003, with the only year without such a show being in 2019. The 2020 edition was, as with every WWE event, taped inside the ThunderDome due to the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic.

WWE previously used to take the Tribute To The Troops shows overseas, presenting the event from army bases and camps, but have remained in the United States for such events since 2010.
