Tommy Dreamer Pitched Return Of The Beautiful People To IMPACT Wrestling

“It didn’t work out. There was contract stuff involved and a lot of other stuff, but it was being discussed.”

After re-establishing the Knockouts tag division, IMPACT Wrestling’s Knockouts division has greatly expanded, and according to Tommy Dreamer, there were pitches made to bring back The Beautiful People to compete in the division.

Speaking with Fire ’N' Flava’s Tasha Steelz on the House of Hardcore podcast, Dreamer revealed his plans to bring together the present and the past of the division:

“With you and Kiera, I’ll tell you this, there was a pitch to bring back The Beautiful People to go against you guys. It didn’t work out. There was contract stuff involved and a lot of other stuff, but it was being discussed. If people only knew half the stuff being discussed right now about what talent to bring in, what talent you shouldn’t bring in. The behind the scenes of pro wrestling is amazing. Anyway, that was probably one of the biggest acts that IMPACT has ever had from TNA to IMPACT and one of the highest rated segments of all time. Those two women always brought it. That would have been an interesting feud in the ‘what if?’ category.”

Steelz feels that her work with Kiera Hogan brought relevancy back to the division: “I feel like Fire N Flava made the Knockouts Tag Titles relevant again for more tag teams to come in and chase for it because we brought a lot more to the tag titles. No disrespect to the previous owners, but I feel like we were the most entertaining because of the passion and fight we had to want to bring the tag titles back and want to keep them. I feel like we made it much more relevant and to give these girls the opportunity to fight for what we had.”
