Triple Threat Ladder Match Announced For Next Week's SmackDown

A huge ladder match will take place on SmackDown next week

The go-home show for WWE’s Bad Blood 2024 premium live event is set to be a big one, as WWE have announced a huge match for next week’s October 4 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, continuing the recent spree of big matches across the first few shows since SmackDown’s move to the USA Network.

On WWE’s social media channels, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis revealed that the WWE Tag Team Champions, Tama Tonga & Tonga Loa of The Bloodline faction, will be putting their gold on the line in a triple threat tag team ladder match. The pair will be defending their titles against former champions Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa of DIY and Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford of The Street Profits. Both teams have had issues with The Bloodline over the last few months.

Originally, it was Tama Tonga and Jacob Fatu who defeated DIY for the WWE Tag Team Titles, until Solo Sikoa forced Fatu into giving up the gold to Tonga Loa. The Bloodline have held the belts in excess of 57 days as of this writing, and this will be their second defence.
