Update On Possible WWE Executive, Creative Changes Going Forward

Not even 24 hours have passed since Vince McMahon announced his retirement from WWE, and there are still many questions to be answered regarding how the company will be run going forward.

An update from Fightful Select notes that as it currently stands, Bruce Prichard is leading creative, while Triple H and top writer Ed Koskey were helping lead things at Friday's SmackDown taping in Boston.

Producers were reportedly told that Prichard was taking over many of McMahon's TV roles for now, but nothing permanent has been announced.

The belief among talent is that if Prichard is the head man going forward, there aren't expected to be many changes, but if it's someone else, changes would be likely.

The report also states, "There were plenty of people that we spoke to that believed that the impending leadership may not want to deviate from Vince McMahon's vision out of 'respect,' but think there are small improvements to be made that can make a big difference."

One creative staffer believes there will be less rematches, as McMahon, "... would like a matchup, think it made sense, and then later forget that they'd done it so many times."

Among the sources spoken to for the report, one said, "I'm not banking on anything being permanent. Triple H was phased out, Stephanie was phased out, Bruce left the company for a decade, Johnny has been in and out, and none of them has the power Vince does. I'm not convinced that he can actually stay away, especially if he feels the heat has died down."
