Why WWE Didn't Air Liv Morgan Kissing Dominik Mysterio On USA Network

Update on WWE TV mishap with Liv Morgan & Dominik Mysterio

Monday Night Raw ended with a major angle on May 27 as Liv Morgan kissed Dominik Mysterio as the show was about to go off the air. Mysterio didn't appear to be impressed by Morgan pulling him in for a kiss but 'Dirty' Dom didn't pull away from Liv either.

While the show-closing angle aired on YouTube TV in the United States and internationally, including in the United Kingdom on TNT Sports, Morgan kissing Mysterio was not broadcast on the USA Network as Raw went off the air only moments before the angle took place.

Fightful Select's Corey Brennan noted that WWE production tried to stay with Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio and they were trying to get to the show-closing angle. It was missed by just a few seconds, though, due to a "timing and positioning miscommunication." Whether WWE production or the two talents were at fault is unknown.

Morgan kissed Mysterio after he inadvertently helped her retain the Women's World Championship in Liv's Steel Cage Match against Becky Lynch. Dominik opened the cage door to allow Lynch to escape in the closing moments of the match, only for Braun Strowman to appear out of nowhere and send Mysterio flying into the cage door, which sent it crashing into Lynch's face. With Lynch down, Liv Morgan was able to escape with ease to continue her reign as Women's World Champion.

Raw was Becky Lynch's final appearance on WWE TV under her current contract. The two sides have yet to agree to terms on a new deal and the belief is Lynch will be taking some time off before a potential return to the company.
