Women's Title Match Set For ROH TV

Athena in an ROH Women's World Title match this week!

The ROH Women's World Championship will be defended later this week ahead of Ring of Honor's Supercard of Honor XVI pay-per-view.

It was announced that Athena will put the gold on the line against Emi Sakura on Thursday night's edition of ROH TV on HonorClub. The match was set up on Monday night's episode of AEW Dark: Elevation following Athena's win over Tootie Lynn.

The winner of Athena vs. Emi Sakura will go on to face Yuka Sakazaki in an ROH Women's World Title match at Supercard of Honor on Friday, March 31. The go-home episode of ROH TV is set to be taped at Wednesday night's AEW Dynamite taping in St. Louis, Missouri.

Athena has been ROH Women's World Champion since defeating Mercedes Martinez for the gold at Final Battle in December 2022. She has successfully defended the title against Marina Shafir and Willow Nightingale so far, while also competing in several Proving Grounds matches against the likes of Hyan, Madison Rayne, and Inder Mundi.
