WWE Confirm Residency At Amway Center

Over the weekend, Jon Alba of Spectrum Sports 360 reported WWE had signed a use agreement with the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida through October 30. No fans will be in attendance for the shows, however.

Alba tweeted: "A rep from the City of Orlando tells me and @MyNews13 #WWE has a use agreement with Amway Center through Oct. 30 with no fans present in the building. So barring an amendment in the agreement, no live fans through October, but WWE gets arena access for all events through then."

WWE confirmed their residency of the Amway Center in a press release earlier today.

The company wrote: "WWE's Amway Center residency will continue for the foreseeable future and Raw, SmackDown and pay-per-view programming will be produced on closed sets with only essential personnel in attendance. WWE will continue to administer its health and safety protocols for talent, crew and employees in conjunction with each production, including PCR testing for COVID-19, social distancing and wearing masks."

The Amway Center will also be used for WWE ThunderDome, a new "viewing experience" for fans which will include LED boards, pyrotechnics, lasers, drone cameras, "cutting-edge graphics," and a "state-of-the-art set." Fans can also appear inside the Amway Center starting from this week's episode of SmackDown using the LED boards, similar to what some English Premier League teams have done.
