WWE Hopeful Of Returning To Regular Touring In The Second Half Of 2021

WWE hold hopes of returning to a full touring schedule, with ticketed events for fans to attend, in the second half of 2021. 

Aside from WrestleMania 37, WWE has not welcomed fans to events since early 2020 when the COVID-19 Pandemic put a full stop to their touring schedule.

WWE initially presented Raw, Smackdown, and pay-per-views from the Performance Center before moving to the ThunderDome in August, which has called three different venues - Amway Center, Tropicana Field and Yuengling Center - home.

Kristina Salen, WWE's Chief Financial Officer, was asked about the plans to return to a full touring schedule and the possibility of still using a ThunderDome base occasionally when that happens during the promotion's quarterly financial conference call. 

Salen confirmed that, while plans aren't completely in place, WWE is hopeful of returning to touring in the summer and would not look to retain the use of a ThunderDome environment when that happens. 

She said, on the call: "We haven't yet decided what our touring plans will be for this summer but we are very hopeful that we will return to touring in the second half of this year. Our hope is that we go to full touring, not that we retain a semi-permanent residency in one location and go half out.

"Our guidance assumes that we go full touring in the second half of this year, which is what we disclosed when we talked about our guidance back in February. We're really looking forward to getting back out on the road again."
