WWE Superstar Samoa Joe Suspended

WWE announced the suspension this evening.

WWE Raw Superstar Samoa Joe has been suspended for 30 days, as per WWE's official website, which states:

'WWE has suspended Nuufolau Seanoa (Samoa Joe) for 30 days effective Monday, February 24, for his first violation of the company’s talent wellness policy.'

Joe had already been out of action after reportedly suffering an injury while filming a WWE commercial. ProWrestlingSheet claimed that the Superstar could be absent for a considerable amount of time.

This is Joe's first violation of the WWE wellness policy, and the 30-day length of his suspension means that he would (in theory) be back in time for WrestleMania 36 on April 5th. However, there's no telling when he will be fit to return from injury regardless.

Before being taken off Raw, Joe had recently joined forces with Kevin Owens and several other babyfaces to take on Seth Rollins' heel stable. Whether he'll return in a similar capacity remains to be seen.
