WWE Teases Further Matches For NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver

Only one match has been confirmed so far for NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver at the start of April, but WWE has sewed the seeds for some big matches at their first-ever two-night NXT event. 

It was confirmed in the first segment of Wednesday's NXT that Finn Balor would defend the NXT Championship against the former champion and undefeated Karrion Kross in a huge clash that will likely main event one of the two evenings. 

Adam Cole and Kyle O'Reilly continued their fiery rivalry. The former leader of the Undisputed Era took to the ring, only to be interrupted by video by O'Reilly. Although O'Reilly had been banned from the Capitol Wrestling Center, that did not stop the two from having some form of vehicle collision as Cole tried to leave the show. 

As both Cole and O'Reilly were taken away by police, general manager William Regal promised to provide a solution to their problems next week on NXT, hinting at a big match between the former stablemates at Stand & Deliver. 

NXT Women's Champion Io Shirai also seems to have chosen her next challenger, pushing a contract onto Raquel Gonzalez before reiterating to her that she wants match. While Gonzalez is yet to sign the contract, it seems likely the two will also meet at the two-night pay-per-view. 

United Kingdom Champion WALTER made his first appearance on NXT in over a year to attack Tommaso Ciampa, after 'The Blackheart' had hinted at a meeting between the two last week, while Dexter Lumis continued his feud with The Way by defeating Austin Theory in a match. North American Champion Johnny Gargano remained at home. 

Finally, Jordan Devlin confronted Santos Escobar in a debate over who the real NXT Cruiserweight Champion is. Escobar suggested that the two have a match to decide, so long as Devlin is able to beat Trent Seven on NXT UK on Thursday.

Based on the storyline development, it is plausible fans will see the following matches at NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver
