CM Punk Apparently Returns At Independent Show

Was it really him?

On Friday night at an event held by the Wisconsin-based MKE promotion (owned by Silas Young), a masked man interfered during a match, striking wrestler Daryck St. Holmes with the Go to Sleep, before quickly exiting from the building.

Young tweeted a couple of times about the incident, making sure to emphasize the word "Punk" in his verbiage, albeit in apparent wink-and-nod fashion.

Though some might think the Punk name-dropping could just be a red herring to build interest in the angle, it apparently actually was Punk under the hood. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful noted the following through Fightful's select service:

"A trusted source contacted us and said that this actually isn't the first time it's happened. Apparently Punk appeared under a hood at some point before his falling out with Colt Cabana, which would have been during the Wrestling Road Diaries 3 filming. We're told that it was dropped from the final cut after Punk and Cabana's issues developed."

Additionally, a fan in the Milwaukee area got a photo with Punk at some point during the weekend, with Punk wearing a similar hoodie to what the masked man wore in the angle.
