More Details On WWE's Deal With Saudi Arabia Revealed - Possible Conflict With Fox TV Deal?

SmackDown Live's move to Fridays going to be an issue?

With the recent Super ShowDown event, WWE are now three shows into their 10-year partnership with the Saudi Arabia General Sports Authority.

We've heard all kinds of rumour and innuendo regarding certain requests those paying for WWE to head over to Saudi Arabia have been making, but the latest reported one might just be a request too far from WWE's point of view.

According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, those paying for the Saudi dates have asked for the shows over there to take place on Fridays going forward.

This presents a problem for WWE, as their deal with Fox sees SmackDown Live move to Friday nights from October 4.

For the avoidance of any doubt, here's what the latest WON said: "A note that hasn’t been brought up regarding the Saudi Arabia shows going forward is that Saudi Arabia has asked for date on Fridays, and WWE starting in October has FOX on Fridays. Right now for 11/1, the WWE has a listing for a FOX show from Newark, NJ and a show in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and King Saad University Stadium. So that would either mean split crews or they’d have to change the Saudi date."
