Rey Fenix Released From Hospital, "Feeling Good"

Positive news...

Rey Fenix required medical attention after sustaining an injury during a match Friday night in Austin, TX, at AAW's Lucha City Limits event. Fenix was teaming with brother Pentagon Jr in a match with AR Fox and Myron Reed, when Fenix remained down on the canvas following a springboard cutter. Though he was able to move his extremities, the match was abruptly ended, and Fenix was stretchered out of the venue.

AAW tweeted an update Saturday afternoon, reporting that Fenix was released from the hospital, with a diagnosis of a muscle contusion. The tweet also claimed that Fenix was "feeling good", and would be back to normal after a period of rest.

AAW co-owner Danny Daniels tweeted many hours earlier that he was with Fenix in the hospital, foreshadowing the official update by noting that Fenix was doing well, but just needed to take it easy.

The injury caps off an eventful week for Fenix, who joined Pentagon in an attack on The Young Bucks at AEW's Double or Nothing rally on Thursday night in Las Vegas, before his prerecorded victory alongside his sibling over Impact Wrestling Tag Team Champions LAX aired the following night.
