2 Championship Matches Added To NJPW Summer Struggle In Jingu Card
LIJ vs. Bullet Club will engulf NJPW...
Jul 28, 2020
At Sengoku Lord in Nagoya, New Japan Pro-Wrestling announced they will be returning to Jingu Stadium in Tokyo, Japan for the first time in over 20 years for Summer Struggle in Jingu on August 29.
The card for the show is already taking shape as Los Ingobernables de Japon vs. Bullet Club looks set to engulf New Japan. The war between the two factions reached the next level at the New Japan Cup Finals as EVIL defected from LIJ to join the villainous stable, and The King Of Darkness went on to defeat Tetsuya Naito at Dominion 2020 for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship and IWGP Intercontinental Championship.
The rivalry between the two former friends has only become more personal since July 12 and The Ingobernable One had finally seen enough by Sengoku Lord as he challenged EVIL to a rematch at Summer Struggle.
The feud between Hiromu Takahashi and Taiji Ishimori will also be settled on August 29. Their rivalry began after The Bone Soldier attacked Takahashi at Dominion and the attacks continued following the main event at Sengoku Lord as Ishimori hit two Bloody Crosses on The Time Bomb. The Bullet Club member then challenged Hiromu to a title match and the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion accepted moments later.
Both title matches were finalised earlier today at a special press conference.
