Absent WWE Talent Wrestles First Match In Months

An absent WWE Superstar has returned to action after months away from the ring.

An absent WWE talent returned to action this past weekend, wrestling his first match in months.

Odyssey Jones competed at a WWE live event on December 2 in Allentown, Pennsylvania. The former NXT talent teamed with Cameron Grimes in a losing effort against the duo of Austin Theory and Grayson Waller. The match was repeated the following night in Newark, Delaware, with the same result.

Jones was shifted from NXT to the main roster earlier this year, competing in dark matches on SmackDown, but is still yet to make an onscreen appearance.

The December 2 tag match was Odyssey's first bout since September 8, where he lost to Bron Breakker at the WWE Superstar Spectacle live event in India.

Dave Meltzer noted the lack of crowd reaction in Allentown, writing on F4WOnline"No heat. Crowd didn't know who Jones was. Theory pinned Grimes."

This again demonstrates Jones' lack of exposure on the main roster, although the fact that he wasn't the man pinned in the match is perhaps an encouraging sign for the 29-year-old's future.
