REVEALED: Why Dixie Carter Was Backstage At WWE Raw
The reason behind Dixie Carter's invitation to last week's WWE Raw has been revealed.
Dixie Carter was a surprise guest backstage at last week's WWE Raw, with several photos emerging of the former TNA President with various Superstars and backstage figures.
On the latest edition of his Something to Wrestle With podcast, WWE's Bruce Prichard revealed the reason behind Dixie's presence at the show. Prichard had previously worked backstage in TNA during Carter's time in charge, and explained:
“I’ve always said, it even in our TNA podcast where sometimes a little controversial - but I’ve always maintained that Dixie, I think she’s a wonderful person and we’ve remained friends to this day.
"I reached out and I thought it would be great since we were going to be in Nashville to invite her to the show and say hello, and it was terrific to see her and reconnect.”
It was reported that Prichard took charge of last week's Raw, due to Triple H's absence. Triple H was in Los Angeles with Nick Khan, working on the media rights deal for Raw going forward.
