Adam Cole & MJF To Team Together During AEW Blind Eliminator Tournament

AEW’s Blind Eliminator tournament has thrown Adam Cole and MJF together as a team

The first ever Blind Eliminator Tournament in All Elite Wrestling history is shortly set to take place, with randomly drawn teams set to compete for a future shot at the AEW World Tag Team Championships.

The tournament brackets are set to be revealed on the June 28 edition of Dynamite, but as seen on last night’s edition of AEW’s flagship show, the first team for the tournament has been announced with AEW World Champion MJF paired with title rival Adam Cole for the tournament.

No other teams have been randomly paired for the upcoming tournament, and with a busy Forbidden Door focused weekend ahead, it seems like we’ll have to wait until the June 28 Dynamite to see what other ‘dream teams’ will be created in order to hunt down a potential shot at FTR’s titles.

Long-time wrestling fans will know the concept from WCW’s glory days, with the BattleBowl/Lethal Lottery tournaments one of Dusty Rhodes’ innovations during his time in WCW creative. WCW ran four BattleBowl tournaments in their history, whilst the likes of TNA and indie promotion CHIKARA have also given their take on the concept.
