Report: Mercedes Moné Was Considered For Bad Bunny's Spider-Man Spinoff

Mercedes Moné could have popped up in El Muerto

Sasha Banks may have been featured in a Spider-Man spinoff.

El Muerto was slated to be released in January 2024 but Sony announced this week that the movie had been removed from its release schedule. The Hollywood Reporter noted the movie fell victim to the writers strike as the script needed additional work. Bad Bunny's touring schedule also prevented the movie from being released in January 2024. The award-winning rapper and sometimes WWE wrestler was set to star in El Muerto.

While no one had been cast in the movie beyond Bad Bunny, THR claimed the studio was considering Mercedes Moné for a role. Marvin Jones III was also under consideration to play Tombstone.

Mercedes Moné has experience in acting, having portrayed Koska Reeves in The Mandalorian since season two of the Star Wars series.

Moné is currently a part of New Japan Pro-Wrestling. She is out of action at the moment, having suffered an injury during the main event of NJPW Resurgence on May 21.
