Adam Cole Pulled From AEW WrestleDream

AEW WrestleDream will not feature Adam Cole

Adam Cole has been pulled from the upcoming All Elite Wrestling WrestleDream event on October 1 due to injury.

Cole injured his ankle on the September 20 Grand Slam III edition of AEW Dynamite, plunging his planned ROH World Tag Team Championship defence into doubt.

On the September 27 Dynamite, Cole was spotted on crutches with his leg in a cast, and took the mic to announce he was relinquishing the titles. Tag partner MJF stopped Cole before he could make it official, instead promising to defend the belts on his own until Cole is cleared, starting with a handicap title match against number one contenders The Righteous at WrestleDream.

Cole left Dynamite with former partners Roderick Strong and The Kingdom after Strong came out saying he needed Cole. With Cole gone, Jay White came out to jawjack with MJF, before getting assaulted by five men at the close of Dynamite. Some have speculated that these five men could include Adam Cole, with the leader of this gang wearing MJF’s devil mask.
