Adam Cole and Kyle O'Reilly will have the opportunity to end their longstanding rivalry once and for all at NXT TakeOver 36.

NXT General Manager William Regal confirmed on the August 10 episode of NXT that Cole and O'Reilly will meet for the third time on Sunday 22 August in what was named 'The Undisputed Finale', contested as a Two-Out-Of-Three Falls Match.

The two competitors were given the chance to select the first two stipulations for their NXT TakeOver 36 battle.

O'Reilly wanted to prove he could beat Cole in a straight wrestling match, and selected one for the first fall, while the former leader of the Undisputed Era named the second fall as a Street Fight.

As the two started to brawl, and had to be pulled apart, Regal confirmed that the third fall - should it be required - would be contested inside of a Steel Cage.

Both Cole and O'Reilly hold a win over the other in recent months. O'Reilly got the first win between the two, in an unsanctioned match at NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver, while Cole got his revenge at NXT Great American Bash with a victory in singles competition.
