Adam Cole Vs. Tom Lawler Added To AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door

The AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door PPV event is taking place tomorrow night on June 25, but despite the event being so close, matches are still being added to the stacked show. During last night’s AEW Rampage, Adam Cole took to the mic but was interrupted by the AEW World Champion MJF.

MJF revealed that he had sorted out his new tag team partner (per the Blind Tag Team Tournament) a match for the Forbidden Door show, and his opponent would be the former NJPW Strong Openweight Champion, ‘Filthy’ Tom Lawler. Proceeding this announcement, Lawler and his pal Royce Isaacs attacked Cole from behind. MJF pretended to make his way to come to the aid of Cole, but by the time he got there, the two NJPW boys had scarpered.
