AEW & ROH Vs. CMLL Event Set For Arena México

CMLL will take on the combined forces of All Elite Wrestling and Ring of Honor at a special event in the historic Arena México on June 17.

The event will take place one night before the recently announced AEW Grand Slam Mexico on June 18, and will mark the first time AEW as a company will run shows in the country. CMLL made the official announcement on their Informa YouTube show.

CMLL also announced that Fantastica Mania on June 20 - also in Arena México - will feature AEW and ROH talent, as well as wrestlers from New Japan Pro-Wrestling, NJPW STRONG, and RevPro.

No matches have been announced thus far for either CMLL vs. AEW & ROH, or AEW Grand Slam Mexico, although the poster for the latter featured the likes of Kenny Omega, Will Ospreay, Mistico, Hologram, Komander, and Mascara Dorada.

CMLL and AEW have been allies since early 2024, with AEW previously working with CMLL’s fierce rivals Lucha Libre AAA. Since the inception of their partnership, CMLL stars have held ROH championships, whilst AEW & ROH stars have held CMLL championships, with the addition of AEW stars to CMLL shows believed to have boosted business in Mexico.
