After securing their future through a new TV deal with Warner Bros. Discovery worth approximately $185 million per year, All Elite Wrestling will aim to expand internationally in 2025.

That is according to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, who reported that AEW CEO Tony Khan is aiming to secure more international TV deals next year. In particular, AEW will be targeting stations that are set to lose WWE programming when WWE content moves to Netflix in many international territories at the start of 2025.

AEW has already made progress through this strategy, securing a new TV deal with Fox Sports Mexico which began with Saturday night's WrestleDream pay-per-view. WWE programming will leave the network in January.

"Tony is very much into international growth. That is the 2025 goal is to grow internationally, get TV (deals in) more international places. The Fox Sports Mexico deal is an example of the battle plan. This is a station that WWE is on," Meltzer said.

AEW presented Hologram vs. The Beast Mortos in a two-out-of-three falls match at WrestleDream and AEW will look to have more lucha matches on their shows because of the Fox Sports Mexico deal.

"The deal is with Fox Sports Mexico, they want to produce - like, this two out of three falls match with Hologram and Mortos - they want to produce matches like this on a regular basis because of the Fox Sports Mexico audience," Meltzer added.

AEW already have several international TV deals, including with ITV in the United Kingdom.
