Former AEW star Marko Stunt has shed some light on his in-ring future.
In a post on social media platform X, Stunt wrote:
"Gonna be super transparent: Got some health stuff going on. Idk how much more I'm gonna physically wrestle, which kills me. I still got a bit left in me, but it's also why I'm so focused on @PWAdrenaline right now. If I can't wrestle, I know PWA can be a place to still create".
Stunt spoke about his desire to start his own promotion after leaving AEW, calling it his biggest goal in wrestling.
The 28-year-old has wrestled sporadically on the independent scene since leaving AEW in June 2022.
He made a surprise one-night return to AEW on the July 6 edition of Collision, where he unsuccessfully challenged Jack Perry for the AEW TNT Championship. It was his first match since January 2023.
A subsequent report noted that, though 'Mr. Fun Size' was welcomed back, his Collision appearance was simply a one-off and he had not signed any sort of deal with the company.
