AEW Announce Double Or Nothing 2

They will be returning to Sin City...

Back in May 2019, All Elite Wrestling held their first event as a promotion, Double Or Nothing, in Las Vegas, Nevada. The pay-per-view was widely praised within the wrestling world as many heralded the creation of an alternative to WWE for the first time since WCW went off the air in 2001.

Last night, Justin Barrasso at Sports Illustrated reported AEW would be returning to Sin City on May 23 for the second edition of Double Or Nothing at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. The young promotion later confirmed the news on Twitter.

As part of the announcement, AEW President Tony Khan said: "Last May, we sparked a revolution with our inaugural Double or Nothing pay-per-view event in Las Vegas. Double or Nothing rocked the wrestling industry and led to Wednesday Night Dynamite, a top-rated weekly show on TNT reaching millions of viewers worldwide, and over 140,000 live event tickets sold to date."

He later added: "It's been an incredible run, and only fitting that we return to Las Vegas to celebrate our one year anniversary with AEW's marquee event. On Saturday, May 23, Double or Nothing is back for round two at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Last year’s event changed the world of wrestling, and this year the stakes will be even higher."
