AEW Backstage Reaction To Hologram's Debut

What did AEW think about Hologram's debut?

After weeks of teases, Hologram finally made his All Elite Wrestling debut on the Saturday, July 20 edition of Collision from Esports Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The former Aramis faced off with Gringo Loco, a talent he has faced a number of times in recent years, and Hologam ultimately picked up the win with an Airplane Spin into a Powerbomb, AKA the Portal Bomb.

Fightful Select has reported there was plenty of praise for Hologram within All Elite Wrestling following his debut. Gringo Loco also received a lot of praise for serving as Hologram's base during the match.

Hologram has been a gimmick that Tony Khan has wanted to use for around five years, with Aramis being specifically signed by AEW for the character after he was recommended to the AEW CEO.

AEW will be booking lucha-heavy shows for their Summer residency at Esports Stadium. Another sign of this is Atlantis Jr. captured the ROH World Television Title from Kyle Fletcher on June 28 and he has since worked the ROH TV taping on July 20, teaming with Lio Rush in a loss to Johnny TV and Shane Taylor.
