AEW Creative Pitches For Dolph Ziggler Revealed
Creative pitches for Dolph Ziggler have been made in AEW
Amongst the releases made by WWE in September 2023, arguably the most shocking was that of Dolph Ziggler, with the veteran former world champion having been with WWE since 2004.
As soon as Ziggler’s release was confirmed, many fans and industry professionals alike figured he’d end up in All Elite Wrestling, with Ziggler’s brother Ryan Nemeth a part of the locker room. A new report from WrestlePurists claims that there have been strong pitches within AEW to bring Ziggler - aka Nic Nemeth - into the company, with creative pitches reportedly being written up if he does indeed become ‘all elite’.
One such creative plan is to pair Nemeth with CJ Perry, with Perry actively recruiting clients to get back at her husband Miro on AEW TV. Nemeth and Perry were previously paired together in WWE in a critically panned angle involving wet fish and airbrushed 80s denim jackets.
Nemeth last wrestled in May 2023, a double DQ against JD McDonagh on WWE Raw. His return to the ring is set for January 2024, with ‘The Showoff’ set to wrestle for Puerto Rico’s World Wrestling Council.
