Another match has been announced for the biggest night of NJPW's calendar year.

Wrestle Kingdom 18 will take place on January 4, 2024 from the Tokyo Dome, a card which now includes a title vs. title tag team match.

Bishamon - the team of Hirooki Goto and YOSHI-HASHI - made history this month by winning an unprecedented third World Tag League tournament in a row. Although the winners of the tournament traditionally receive a title shot at Wrestle Kingdom, the pair are already the reigning IWGP Tag Team Champions, meaning they get to pick their opponents.

Bishamon have officially selected the duo they beat in the final to win the tournament, El Phantasmo and Hikuleo. The latter pair currently hold the STRONG Openweight Tag Team Championships, and it has since been confirmed by New Japan that both sets of titles will be on the line at Wrestle Kingdom.

The rest of the currently-known Wrestle Kingdom 18 card is as follows:

  • SANADA (c) vs. Tetsuya Naito - IWGP World Heavyweight Championship
  • Bryan Danielson vs. Kazuchika Okada
  • Will Ospreay vs. Jon Moxley vs. David Finlay - IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship
  • Zack Sabre Jr. (c) vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi - NJPW World Television Championship
  • Hiromu Takahashi (c) vs. El Desperado - IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship
  • Shingo Takagi (c) vs. Tama Tonga - NEVER Openweight Championship
  • Clark Connors & Drilla Moloney (c) vs TJP & Francesco Akira - IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championships
