AEW Criticised For Roll Of Quarters Dynamite Segment Involving MJF & Juice Robinson

Juice Robinson’s ‘roll of quarters’ segment with MJF on AEW Dynamite criticised

MJF is currently embroiled in a feud with Bullet Club Gold, with BC leader Jay White having stolen MJF’s AEW World Championship ‘Triple B’ belt on October 3.

On the October 10 ‘Title Tuesday’ edition of Dynamite, MJF confronted Bullet Club Gold after White defeated Hangman Page in singles action, engaging in a war of words with White, and associate Juice Robinson.

Robinson proceeded to refer to MJF only by his surname Friedman, and then unveiled a roll of quarters with Friedman’s name on them. Robinson has been using rolls of quarters as his signature weapon during his time in AEW and in the past in New Japan Pro-Wrestling, but this time it was noted how the act referenced a tale from MJF’s time in high school where bullies would throw quarters at him, playing off of racist stereotypes against Jewish people.

The segment in turn has generated a lot of criticism online, with the timing of the angle coinciding with elevated acts of aggression between Israel and Palestine, with a recent attack on Jewish Israeli citizens by militant group Hamas having brought fresh attention to the controversial conflict.

UPDATE: MJF has since addressed the criticism of the segment.

You can watch Juice's promo from around the 13-minute mark:
