AEW Discussing Potential December PPV

An AEW December PPV could be in the works

Recent reports have suggested that All Elite Wrestling could be set to increase their yearly pay-per-view output to 12 events a year, with fresh reports suggesting that AEW are considering adding another PPV show to the 2023 calendar.

After All In in August, All Out in September, and the upcoming inaugural WrestleDream in October, AEW are set to run Full Gear as usual in November. However, a new report from Cassidy Haynes at Bodyslam.net suggests that AEW are considering running a PPV show in December.

Whilst the report insists that nothing has been set in stone, AEW are apparently considering running a December show on Friday, December 29. If AEW do indeed run this show, it will serve as their eighth PPV event of 2023.

Rumours of AEW expanding their PPV output have been rife all year, with the move believed to be an outcome of negotiations between AEW and Warner Bros. Discovery over a new broadcast deal. Prior to 2023, AEW ran four traditional pay-per-view events per year, with the addition of the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door crossover show made official in 2022.
