AEW Dynamite Beats WWE NXT By Largest Viewership Margin In Three Weeks

Different story than last week...

The buzz coming out of AEW Full Gear on Saturday night, as well as the slight cooling of the Raw vs. SmackDown vs. NXT inter-company war, led to AEW re-assuming a comfortable lead over NXT in the so-called Wednesday Night Wars.

According to Showbuzz Daily, AEW won the head-to-head for the seventh consecutive week, averaging 957,000 viewers through the night. That's up over 16 percent from the 822,000 they averaged a week ago.

NXT averaged 750,000 viewers, down nearly eight percent from the 813,000 of last week.

AEW placed fifth for the night on cable in the coveted 18-49 demographic with a 0.43 demo rating. The only cable shows that beat it were two NBA games on ESPN, South Park on Comedy Central, and American Horror Story on FX.

NXT finished 22nd in cable 18-49 demos, with a 0.25 demo rating.

Of note in the demographics, AEW more than doubled NXT in people 18 to 34 (0.34 to 0.16), women 12 to 34 (0.21 to 0.10) and men 12 to 34 (0.36 to 0.17).

The only demographic won by NXT (which they've usually won in this battle) is persons over 50 (0.35 to 0.29)
