All Elite Wrestling are already in the United Kingdom ahead of All In and the promotion held their first-ever Dynamite show outside of North America on Wednesday night, with the August 21 episode being taped from Utilita Arena in Cardiff, Wales. The show didn't air live, though, and will air at 1 am BST/8 pm ET.
SPOILERS AHEAD
Following Michael Oku's AEW debut in a dark match where he picked up the win over Serpentico, the AEW Dynamite taping kicked off with Chris Jericho vs. Tommy Billington. Jericho received "please retire" chants during the match which he responded to by saying fans only wanted him to retire so he could help Cardiff City FC. Jericho was ultimately able to defeat the new AEW signing from Wigan and HOOK came out to confront the FTW Champion post-match, only for him to be flattened by Big Bill.
The contract signing between Mercedes Moné and Britt Baker for their TBS Title match at All In followed. The pair agreed to no physicality for the segment but after a back-and-forth exchange, Britt Baker noted the clause didn't apply to Kamille. Baker then decked Moné's enforcer with a microphone and took her out with a crossbody from the table. Moné and Kamille left the ring and Baker ended the segment standing tall holding up the TBS Title.
The AEW Women's World Championship was on the line next as Toni Storm recorded the successful title defence against her former faction mate Saraya. Mariah May attacked Storm post-match with a shoe.
Hangman Page was confirmed to be in the Casino Gauntlet at All In during a backstage interview with Renee Paquette. They were interrupted by Evil Uno, who confirmed he would also be in the gauntlet which led to Page attacking his former friend.
Will Ospreay and MJF came face-to-face ahead of their All In match and, as expected, the two men ended up getting physical with Ospreay bleeding by the end of the segment. Kazuchika Okada then put the AEW Continental Championship on the line in a dream match against Claudio Castagnoli but the fans in Cardiff weren't given a definitive winner as the match ended in a 20-minute time-limit draw. The shouts for "five more minutes" ultimately fell on deaf ears.
In the final in-ring action of the night, Darby Allin and FTR teamed together to defeat Jack Perry and The Young Bucks, with an in-ring staredown between The Acclaimed and FTR taking place post-match.
The final segment of Dynamite was 'The Final Showdown' between Bryan Danielson and Swerve Strickland hosted by Nigel McGuinness. Things soon turned physical after Swerve mentioned Danielson's family in a promo which caused 'The American Dragon' to come out and take out the AEW World Champion with a Busaiku Knee. Danielson then asked the crowd if he could beat Swerve which prompted a flurry of "Yes!" chants to bring the segment to an end.
