Due to heading down under for Grand Slam Australia, All Elite Wrestling taped tonight's edition of AEW Dynamite one day early from Austin, Texas.

SPOILERS AHEAD

The taping of AEW Dynamite opened with Max Caster's 'Best Wrestler Alive Open Challenge' and the former Acclaimed member was squashed by Hangman Page. A Ricochet promo followed the opening match and there was no title change in the second match of the evening as PAC, Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta of the Death Riders defeated Adam Cole, Kyle O'Reilly, and Roderick Strong of the Undisputed Kingdom to retain the AEW World Trios Championships. The Death Riders picked up the win after Wheeler Yuta hit O'Reilly with a low blow and followed up with a small package.

Hangman Page had a busy night on Dynamite as he interrupted MJF in the next segment on the show, with the two former AEW World champions having a back-and-forth promo exchange. The segment ended with MJF telling Page he would become a two-time AEW World Champion before him.

Samoa Joe, Katsuyori Shibata, and HOOK defeated Aaron Solo, Jon Cruz, and Rosario Grillo, with Joe revealing post-match their faction was now called The Ops. Joe, HOOK, and Shibata then challenged The Patriarchy to a trios match next week.

Chris Jericho challenged Bandido to a "showdown" and took several paces back to replicate a western movie, only for Bryan Keith to attack Bandido from behind. The Outrunners tried and failed to make the save for Bandido but Powerhouse Hobbs had better luck as he stopped Big Bill from chokeslamming Bandido.

A backstage segment followed of Cope and Jay White stealing Jon Moxley's briefcase which is believed to contain the AEW World Championship. MJF then defeated Dustin Rhodes by referee stoppage after MJF applied the STF.

In another backstage segment, Prince Nana asked Swerve Strickland to let go of his issues with Ricochet but Swerve said he couldn't because the last time he did something like that he lost the AEW World Title.

Megan Bayne then won a squash match against Maya World, winning with the F5. Kris Statlander made her way to the ring for her own match after Bayne's win which led to a staredown between the two competitors. Statlander then defeated Penelope Ford and was attacked by Bayne post-match, eating an F5 to the floor.

A promo from Harley Cameron with a Mercedes Moné puppet followed before Willow Nightingale cut her own promo and was attacked by Marina Shafir.

In the final match on Dynamite, The Hurt Syndicate successfully defended the AEW World Tag Team Championships against The Gunns. Lance Archer and Brian Cage of the Murder Machines then confronted the champions post-match, setting up a future meaty battle.

In the show-closing segment, Cope and Jay White brought the briefcase to the ring and Adam Copeland threatened to destroy the briefcase with 'Spike', a baseball bat full of nails, if Jon Moxley didn't accept his challenge for an AEW World Title match at Revolution. Moxley accepted the challenge, with Jon Moxley vs. Cope for the AEW World Title being made official for Revolution, before Moxley threatened to break Cope's neck.

Cope decided to destroy the briefcase with his bat anyway and he and Jay White fought off a Death Riders attack while Marina Shafir recovered the briefcase.
