Report: AEW: Dynamite To Be Preempted By NBA Playoffs

Friday Night Dynamite is coming soon

The NBA playoffs are set to begin in a few weeks and they will run from May 22 until July 22.

NBA games are regularly broadcast on TNT and Wednesday games mean future editions of AEW: Dynamite will be preempted.

Dave Meltzer has reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that episodes of Dynamite in May and June will be rescheduled. The plan is to move the May 26 show to Friday, May 28 at 10 pm and avoid going head to head with WWE SmackDown. Two hours of Dark will be taped with a live crowd from 8 pm until 10 pm and Dynamite will then be broadcast live.

The June 2 show will also be preempted and the episode will be broadcast live on either June 4 or June 5, but a final decision has yet to be made.

This won't be the first time AEW has had to move Dynamite because of the NBA. Multiple episodes in August and September last year were rescheduled which led to a special Saturday edition of Dynamite as well as a couple of shows on Thursday nights.
