A new promotion has entered the Lucha Libre scene in recent weeks and the RUSH backed Federacion Wrestling will hold its first show in June.

The promotion is looking to be a major player in Mexico and the likes of The Lucha Brothers, Bandido, Matt Taven, Rey Horus and Dragon Lee are all scheduled for the June show. Former WWE Superstar Andrade is also expected to be in action.

The company is also reportedly extending offers to CMLL and AAA's top talent at a time when both companies are weakened financially because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

More details around the offers have now emerged, courtesy of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter's Dave Meltzer.

According to Meltzer, Federacion Wrestling is offering much bigger money than what is currently available for talent wrestling in Mexico. Some CMLL and AAA wrestlers were offered $7,000 US per show while one talent was offered a per-event deal of $10,000 US. Talent who accept the offers would be exclusive to Federacion Wrestling in Mexico.

CMLL talent are currently weighing up the pros and cons and many of them believe they won't be able to return to the company if they join Federacion Wrestling. However, they feel the money is hard to turn down because it is so much higher than what they are making in CMLL.

Talent don't believe the new company will be a long-term option, though, as they think the money on offer doesn't make economic sense, especially in the current climate.

While many are still weighing up their options, one wrestler who has made the jump is Mexican National Heavyweight Champion Diamante Azul, according to Meltzer. Although his signing hasn't been announced as of yet.
