All Elite Wrestling are investigating the reported backstage altercation between CM Punk and Jack Perry that allegedly took place before Punk's match with Samoa Joe in the opener of AEW All In.

AEW CEO Tony Khan said at the post-All In media scrum: "I would like to say, I can't comment on it at this time beyond what I'm about to say. Yes, there was an incident backstage before we went live on tonight's show. We are investigating it and until I learn more about what happened I can't really address it at this time so I can't comment. But I did want to be honest with you and tell you that is the case."

It emerged while the show was live that CM Punk and Jack Perry had an altercation backstage at All In. The altercation came shortly after Perry's Zero Hour match with HOOK that featured a spot where HOOK put Jack through a limousine windscreen with a Fisherman's Buster, saying before the spot, "It's real glass, cry me a river." The comment was in reference to a confrontation between Perry and Punk that took place earlier this Summer over Punk taking exception to Perry wanting to use real glass for a spot at a Collision taping.

The full details on the incident at All In have yet to be revealed but Fightful Select reported that Jack Perry was unhappy about how their prior incident was relayed publicly by Punk's side. One side of the story about the All In altercation has claimed Jack Perry stepped in Punk's face backstage and "bumped" the two-time AEW World Champion. Punk then allegedly pushed Perry and the former Jungle Boy then "came at Punk and got choked."

PWInsider and Fightful Select both reported that other versions of events have claimed Punk threw a punch at Perry. Miro has claimed the stories about the altercation are "fake and untrue."

Following the altercation, CM Punk reportedly remained inside Wembley Stadium while Jack Perry was sent away.
