AEW Not Going Forward With Blood And Guts Card This Week

Show will happen, "When the time is right"...

All Elite Wrestling released a statement from President and CEO Tony Khan on Friday night, revealing that the planned card for this Wednesday's Dynamite, headlined by a five-on-five "Blood and Guts" War Games match, will not take place as originally scheduled.

Though AEW will still run Dynamite on Wednesday, complete with a confrontation between Chris Jericho and "Broken" Matt Hardy, the company has decided to hold off on the gimmick match until a later date.

"...the time and circumstances aren’t right for the card we had planned next week for Blood and Guts," Khan wrote, in part. "That show will happen when the time is right, but what you can count on instead this coming Wednesday night is a great live episode of AEW Dynamite featuring @IAmJericho confronting @MATTHARDYBRAND, face-to-face, one-on-one, for the first time ever."

The message states that there will be wrestling on Wednesday night's Dynamite, but it doesn't make clear the specific cancellations and postponements, though the cage match is certainly off. Previously scheduled for Wednesday's card are a Parking Lot Brawl pitting Best Friends against The Lucha Bros, and a Lumberjack Match between Luchasaurus and Wardlow.
