Due to the pre-determined nature of the industry, leaks about professional wrestling storylines and plans are widespread, with spoilers rife online.

However, it seems that recent leaks about All Elite Wrestling storylines are starting to frustrate some backstage, with AEW Coach Jerry Lynn voicing his frustrations on X/Twitter after the nature of Hangman Page’s ‘ankle injury’ was reported online:

“This shouldn’t even be announced. God forbid we have a cliff hanger for next week,” posted Lynn in response to a report from Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp.

Initial reports suggested that Hangman Page broke his ankle during the main event of the February 21 edition of AEW Dynamite, although it was later reported to be a work. The nature of 21st-century wrestling and the widespread use of social media means that kayfabe is harder than ever to maintain, although industry leaks have been common for decades.

As for Hangman Page’s status for Revolution on March 3, it’s believed the angle was set up to potentially write him out of the AEW World Championship three-way match against Champion Samoa Joe and rival Swerve Strickland.
