Report: Hangman Page Injury On AEW Dynamite Was A Work

Hangman Page is actually fine

Hangman Adam Page might not be injured after all.

Page was in action on the February 21 edition of AEW Dynamite, teaming with HOOK and Rob Van Dam to take on Samoa Joe, Swerve Strickland, and Brian Cage. Page appeared to suffer an injury during the closing stages of the match as he escaped a Muscle Buster from Samoa Joe, landing awkwardly on his ankle in the process.

Page immediately grabbed his ankle and rolled to the outside for the remainder of the match that saw Samoa Joe pick up the win by choking out RVD. Hangman could then be seen post-match telling the cameraman to stop filming him as he held his ankle.

Reports following Dynamite noted that Page may have sustained a broken ankle and that it appeared Hangman had suffered a serious injury.

In an update, however, Fightful Select has reported the whole injury situation "was an angle, and he was fine once he got backstage." One AEW talent said, "Yeah, he's okay. He's just good at his job."

The angle may be worked into Hangman's future appearances. He is set to compete in the Three-Way for the AEW World Championship at Revolution where Page will face champion Samoa Joe and Swerve Strickland.
