Heel Turn Teased On AEW Dynamite

AEW Dynamite saw a heel turn teased

We are on the road to AEW Revolution, but ahead of the PPV event on March 3, it seems as though a heel turn could be coming for one talent set to be involved with the show.

As seen on the February 21 edition of AEW Dynamite, the legendary Ric Flair spoke with Renee Paquette backstage, with ‘The Nature Boy’ noting how he was disappointed to have not been as involved in the run-up to longtime rival Sting’s last match at Revolution as he’d hoped.

Flair admitted that he was ‘exploring his options’ ahead of cornering Sting for his last match at Revolution, before knocking on The Young Bucks’ door, and entering for a discussion with Matthew and Nicholas Jackson.

The Bucks are set to take on Sting and Darby Allin for the AEW World Tag Team Championships at Revolution in what will be Sting’s final ever match. Although Flair is on Sting’s side right now that means next to nothing, with ‘Naitch’ having been the biggest thorn in Sting’s side for over 30 years, orchestrating dozens of beatdowns on ‘The Icon’ throughout their time in Jim Crockett Promotions/NWA, WCW, and beyond.

Young Bucks’ spokesperson Brandon Cutler took to X/Twitter to announce that, “Ric Flair was spotted coming out of the creative meeting in Nicholas & Matthew Jackson’s office with a big grin on his face. But whatever was discussed in that room remains tight-lipped.”
