AEW Officially Confirms Appointment Of New COO

AEW officially confirm Kosha Irby as the new COO

All Elite Wrestling have officially announced the appointment of Kosha Irby as the promotion's Chief Operating Officer. As part of his role, Irby will "oversee all strategic planning and execution of Live Events, Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, Licensing, Consumer Products and other major lines of business for the company."

AEW CEO Tony Khan said: "Kosha brings decades of experience within the sports, entertainment and wrestling industries alongside an incredible work ethic and passion for our brand. As Chief Operating Officer, he will be a phenomenal asset to AEW as we enter the next phase of the company's ongoing business development and expansion."

Irby joins AEW from Clemson University, having served as the Chief Marketing Officer of the university's Athletic Department, a role he held since February 2023. Irby previously served as WWE Regional Director of Live Events from 2011 until 2018 and he has previously held positions with the Memphis Express of the Alliance of American Football, and Professional Bull Riders.

It emerged back in January that Irby had joined All Elite Wrestling as Chief Operating Officer. Why AEW waited so long to officially announce his appointment is unknown.
