AEW Rampage Draws Best Ratings In Almost 2 Years With Live Episode Following Dynamite

AEW Rampage draws best ratings in almost two years on March 20

All Elite Wrestling may have set the blueprint for Rampage to air after AEW Dynamite live on a Wednesday night.

AEW Rampage traditionally airs at 10 pm ET on TNT on Friday nights but the show was preempted this week due to TNT's coverage of March Madness. This saw Rampage air live on Wednesday night at 10 pm ET on TBS.

The move was a positive one for Rampage and the March 20 episode drew the show's best ratings in almost two years. Wrestlenomics reported that Rampage averaged 541,000 viewers and a 0.18 rating in the key 18-49 demographic. This was Rampage's best 18-49 rating in the demo since April 22, 2022 and the best total viewers for the show since January 6, 2023. Compared to last week, Rampage was up 64 per cent in the demo and up 65 per cent in total viewers.

Rampage was slightly helped by the Dynamite overrun, which meant Rampage actually aired from 10:06 pm until 11:06 pm. The opening quarter hour, Wrestlenomics reported, averaged 776,000 viewers and the show lost 41.5 per cent of its audience by 10:45 pm. Rampage gained viewers from here, though, and finished with 543,000 total viewers for the Street Fight of Willow Nightingale & Kris Statlander vs. Skye Blue & Julia Hart.
