Janel Grant Lawsuit Acknowledged By John Laurinaitis Before Court

John Laurinaitis has formally acknowledged Janel Grant's lawsuit.

John Laurinaitis is the first person to formally respond before the court to the lawsuit filed by former WWE employee Janel Grant against himself, Vince McMahon and WWE.

According to PWInsider, the former executive filed a waiver of service before the United States Court of Connecticut. Essentially, Laurinaitis has told the court that he is aware of Grant's lawsuit and is waiving that he needs to be served with the lawsuit personally. Furthermore, he will respond to it within 60 days (of March 15).

The 61-year-old was accused by Grant of sexually assaulting her during her relationship with McMahon. Laurinaitis and McMahon allegedly sexually assaulted Grant inside Laurinaitis' office at WWE's headquarters. According to Grant, the two men forced themselves on her and restrained her despite repeated calls for them to stop.

She also alleges that McMahon ordered her to have sex with Laurinaitis on multiple occasions and was to serve herself as 'breakfast' to Laurinaitis at his hotel room prior to work.

After the lawsuit was filed, a lawyer for Laurinaitis suggested that he, too, had been a victim of McMahon's.
