Chants against the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency look set to become a regular occurrence at All Elite Wrestling events featuring Brody King as there were even "F*ck ICE" chants in Australia.
AEW headed Down Under for Grand Slam Australia on Saturday, February 14 and the show featured a main event of MJF vs. Brody King for the AEW World Championship. During the pre-match introductions, fans inside Sydney's Qudos Bank Arena chanted "F*ck ICE." According to Fightful Select, a number of people within AEW expected there to be "F*ck ICE" chants for Brody King despite the event being in Australia.
There were previously loud "F*ck ICE" chants ahead of the AEW World Title eliminator match between Brody King and MJF on the February 4 edition of Dynamite. The chants received mainstream attention, as did the Grand Slam Australia chants, which led to CNN - a division of Warner Bros. Discovery - confirming WBD holds a minority stake in All Elite Wrestling.
There was an erroneous report that the February 4 chants resulted in WBD blocking Brody King from the February 11 edition of Dynamite, but that was denied by Warner Bros. Discovery and AEW CEO Tony Khan. Instead, King was absent from Dynamite due to flying out to Australia.
Brody King has been an advocate to abolish ICE, and fans can pre-order a version of King's Abolish ICE t-shirt. All proceeds will be donated to the Minnesota Immigration Rights Action Committee.
