AEW Reportedly Planning TNT Championship Special In January 2022
A big show to kick off the year

All Elite Wrestling are reportedly planning to present a special on TNT in January 2022 which will heavily feature each of the promotions' respective Championships.
According to Andrew Zarian Of The Mat Men Podcast, AEW will showcase a special programme on Saturday 8 January 2022 and, while a name for the show has not been confirmed, the title 'Battle Of The Belts' has been considered.
The term 'Battle Of The Belts' is a throwback to events from the National Wrestling Alliance in the 1980s and, per the report, with WWE owning the rights to the 'Clash Of The Champions' name, AEW will instead pay homage to the NWA and CFW with this name.
The event title suggests that every single AEW Championship will be available. With AEW planning on crowning a TBS Champion in the near future and a new number one contender to the AEW World Championship set to be established at Full Gear next weekend, the TNT Special could serve as an opportunity for such matches.
AEW announced changes to its broadcasting earlier this year and, starting from January, AEW Dynamite will be presented on TBS while Rampage will be shown on TNT. As part of the agreement, TNT will also air four AEW specials, with this event appearing to be the first.
