AEW's Chris Jericho has been admitted to hospital in the United Kingdom with a 'non COVID-related, treatable health issue'.
Jericho is currently on tour with his band Fozzy in the UK and has performed across England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland over the past week. Fozzy were due to conduct their latest concert at the Sin City Club in Swansea, Wales on Friday 10 December.
However, the venue have confirmed that the gig has had to be cancelled with the band confirming on Thursday that Jericho had been checked into hospital.
The band are hopeful of returning to their schedule at the weekend, with shows set for Nottingham and London on Saturday and Sunday.
A statement from Fozzy, shared by Sin City Club on Instagram, read: "Chris was checked into Hospital by doctors, with a non Covid related, treatable health issue. Regrettably the show on Friday in Swansea is cancelled and all tickets will be refunded. Will have updates on Saturdays show in Nottingham and Sunday’s show in London as soon as possible."
The first-ever AEW World Champion and Inner Circle member was injured in storyline by 2point0 and Daniel Garcia recently on AEW Dynamite, in order to write Jericho off TV while the band is performing several dates.
